NOTICE OF EMERGENCY FOOTPATH CLOSURE

The Trust has made the difficult decision to close the steps leading down from the Rotunda on Lincoln Hill due to concerns regarding public safety. Rather than continually patch them up (which is becoming less viable), the Trust will completely remove and replace the steps. We intend to replace them with recycled plastic and stone filled steps for improved longevity.

The initial estimate to replace the run of 160 steps is £15,000 – £20,000, which we will need to raise.

Replacing such a long and steep run of steps is not an easy task, and will take time to plan and implement, especially with difficult access to the site.
