SUMMARY:Inspired by Nature Lino Printing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join local artist Amanda Hillier to learn to make your very own lino print inspired by nature.\n\n\n\nWe will go on a short walk around the local woodland and gather ideas for our prints. We will gather leaves\, take photos and do sketches then return to the hall and develop our lino print artwork. The students will carve and print their own set of unique prints. \nWorkshop Tutor – Amanda Hillier \nAmanda is a professional illustrator and printmaker based at The Maws Craft Centre in the Ironbridge Gorge. \nHer work is inspired by local landscape and the details of nature through the seasons. \nwww.amandahillier.co.uk \nSevern Gorge Countryside Trust \nThis workshop is being hosted by the Severn Gorge Countryside Trust\, a local charity. \nThe Trust’s aim is to promote\, protect and conserve the living landscape of the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site\, which has a diverse range of habitats\, including wildflower meadows\, woodlands and heathlands. But that’s not all! We maintain over 20 kilometres of footpaths\, conserve and protect 60 historic structures\, run exciting Outdoor Learning and Volunteering Programmes to encourage local people and visitors to engage with the natural environment in a variety of ways. \nAll proceeds from this workshop will support the work of the Severn Gorge Countryside Trust. \nOutdoor Learning Programme 2025/26 \nOur Outdoor Learning Programme is packed with events that aim to engage you with the natural world\, teach new or enhance existing skills and boost your mental health and wellbeing. Time spent outdoors is a wonderful thing that we want to encourage everyone to experience\, appreciate and reap the benefits from. Whether you’re an outdoor enthusiast or a complete beginner\, there’s something for everyone\, from nature journaling to foraging walks\, eco-friendly workshops\, and creative sessions in the great outdoors. Each event offers a chance to explore the stunning landscape managed by the Severn Gorge Countryside Trust. Guided by local experts\, artists\, and enthusiastic tutors you can learn hands-on skills or attend events designed to boost your wellbeing.
